Julia Swafford is a board certified PA. She has worked in Rheumatology since graduation in 2011 and has participated in numerous rheumatology clinical trials as both a joint assessor and a sub- investigator.

She is the President of the Society of Physician Assistants in Rheumatology (SPAR) and serves as the sole Rheumatology representative for the AAPA’s House of Delegates.

She is married with two young children, Ziva and Charles and has two dogs and a cat at home. She enjoys being a board member of The Humane Society of South Central Michigan and the Battle Creek Metropolitan Area Moustache Society, a locally based community non- profit organization.
