JangMi Johnson graduated from the Cook County Hospital/Malcolm X College PA program in 2002. She began her career in general surgery working for the underserved at Provident Hospital of Cook County. She honed her surgical skills that would take her to the next level of practice, Dermatology! Her first Dermatology PA job was in 2005 and has continued to work in dermatology since, with a short stint in NYC for pandemic relief work. Her professional interests include leadership (she is the current President of the Illinois Society of Dermatology PAs), psoriasis, skincare for BIPOC patients, hair loss, and anything that grows on the skin or makes you itchy.

In her free time, she takes epic roadtrips with her family, and is now developing a skincare line that is slated to launch in 2024!
